I have lived in Ventura my entire life, and I take great pride in serving the community that raised me. I am running for Ventura Unified School Board because our schools need steady, student-centered leadership focused on Student Fulfillment and Mental Health, Improved Special Education, teacher support, transparency, and responsible governance — not business as usual, and not unnecessary political noise.

As a college professor of social work, adolescent and family psychotherapist, and parent, I have spent my career working at the intersection of learning, mental health, and families. I believe schools work best when students feel supported, teachers and paraeducators are valued, and families have a school board that is transparent, accessible, and accountable.
